Our History

Within just a few short years of beginning in an 800 square foot office with 5 employees and 2 pieces of equipment, the Optic Blue dream has grown into a 7200 square foot lab with over 20 employees, a full surfacing department and no plans of slowing down.

In 2006, Jason Blue, tired of packing suitcases and running through airports, opened the doors of Optic Blue. Drawing from his years of lab experience and starting with 1 laptop computer, 1 edger, a manual blocker, and 4 other employees, the small 10 job a day lab began to grow. Within a years time, the lab had moved to a 1500 square foot space across the courtyard, added 140 jobs a day and 6 more employees. By the next year, another 100 jobs a day had been added, a remodel had taken place adding another 1000 square feet, a full surfacing department was installed and another 10 employees were added to the family.  Now having moved across town to a brand new 7200 sq foot facility, we have added more employees, more equipment and more than a few new valued employees.  The Optic Blue dream continues to grow.
